Our goal is to engage and enrich the Hyde Park community. We’ve begun developing great partnerships and alliances as indicated below:
Black United Fund of Illinois
The hotel has partnered with the Black United Fund of Illinois (BUFI) to develop a workforce training program in hospitality targeted to community residents – some of whom have been chronically unemployed. This unique program will be designed to create job opportunities for community residents at the hotel, as well as other hotels in the region.
Kenwood Academy
The hotel is developing a partnership of education and mentorship with the neighboring Kenwood Academy High School. (More news on this to come).
The Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce
The hotel is a new member of Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce. Representatives of the Hyde Park Hyatt Place will discuss the hotel at the Chamber’s “First Thursday” gathering on Thursday, March 1 at 5:30 pm at Montgomery Place, 5550 South Shore Drive.
THE HYDE PARK HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The hotel is a member of The Hyde Park Historical Society. Historic photos depicting Hyde Park will be incorporated
into the interior design of the hotel to reflect the community’s rich character and history.
